If you still can't solve the issue, contact PSY LABS support using the email link at the bottom of this page.
Q: How long until you release your next game?
A: Well. First of all, I do 99% of all the work alone, including coding, GFX and SFX, textures, and all the other stuff that has to be done during the development
process. Second, I have a full-time position. Third, I have lots of hobbies, and I'm also a passionate gamer. Enough said ;-)
Q: So, why not quit your job and develop games full-time?
A: Because I can't take the risk at the moment. BUT it's part of the master plan.
Q: I have this outstanding idea about a game you might want to develop. You interested?
A: Go for it. I always have an open mind for new ideas. If you want to share your idea with the community, post it in the forum. If you want to keep it confidential,
feel free to send me an email. Just use the link at the bottom of this page. Answer guaranteed!
Q: Dude. I'm loaded. And I don't know where to spend my money! Interested in some support?
A: Erm...well....hell ya! What are you waiting for? Use the following button to make a donation. I can always use the money for new software, advertising, literature,
the website and a lot of other stuff that is necessary. Donations will speed up things. Knock yourself out and I'll quit my job and start full-time coding ;-)
All donators will be mentioned in the credits of all games published after the donation! An overview of all donators is available here.
Q: How come there are FarCry2 maps in the download section?
A: Because the map editor rocks, and I just love to create maps with it. Besides it's free stuff, so don't complain.
Q: Man, this website looks shitty when using 1024x768 screen resolution.
A: 1024? 768? Time to upgrade, don't you think? Sorry, no support for horizontal resolutions below 1280 pixels. Stone Age is over.
Q: I can't save my current game!
A: That's the way it's supposed to be. Being able to save the game at any time would ruin the challenge.
However, after solving level 5, 11, 17 and 23, you'll get a code to jump directly to level 6, 12, 18 and 24 respectively.
Q: Why can't I play the game in window mode?
A: There are several reasons. The main reason is that playing GET THE GEMS in window mode completely ruins the game atmosphere.
However, if you insist on playing the game in that mode, start GET THE GEMS with "getthegems.exe -nofullscreen".
Q: The game is just too hard for me *sniff*.
A: Some cheese with the whine? You've got to be kidding me. You don't like the challenge? Go and play Solitaire.
Q: What about that certificate mentioned on the homepage?
A: After solving the final cave, a certificate will be saved in your game folder. It contains several statistics like how many monsters you killed, the way
you killed them, how many gems you collected, your total points and so on. It also includes two contorted images of the GFX artists. You can load it
in any graphic app and print it out.
Q: Why the hell are there no cheats?
A: What the hell makes you think there are none?
Q: So are you going to tell me?
A: I might. If you ask me nicely :-)
Q: I'm stuck in this $%§#!* level.
A: Check out youtube.com for let's play or walkthrough videos.
Q: I'd like to mod the game, but I can't open any graphic or sound files.
A: Thats's because they are encrypted.
Q: Any chance you'll publish a moddable version?
A: I'd probably do it if I got enough inquiries.
Q: What's the difference between the 2 different AI modes?
A: Back in times of the original Boulder Dash, monsters would easily go nuts and run in circles on certain conditions. The monsters in GET THE GEMS behave pretty much
the same way with Gimp Mode set to on. If Gimp Mode is turned off, monsters will behave more intelligent. These settings might help with some caves.
